El Cacao_eventThe Chocolate Case (Netherlands, 2016, 90min) – Follows the incredible journey of three Dutch journalists, who tried to persuade large corporations to end the use of child labour in the chocolate industry. After many relentless and inventive, but ultimately unsuccessful attempts the men decide to take matters into their own hands and create their very own slave-free chocolate.

El Cacao (USA, 2015, 20min) – On his farm in the rainforest of Panama, an indigenous cacao farmer reveals hidden inequalities in chocolate production, challenging notions of ethical sourcing, sustainability, and the meaning of “Fair Trade”.
